Division info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

The Materials Handler will be responsible for Goods in; Receipt of all Materials, Forgings, Ancillary items, and Dispatching; Packing and protecting of all outgoing parts in line with appropriate specifications.

Main responsibilities:

• Receive both free issue and purchased parts.
• Inspect stock visually and ensure compliance with certificates of conformance (C of C).
• Label and control stock storage, including preservation efforts.
• Maintain the upkeep of bonded areas.
• Enforce production order discipline according to company procedures.
• Pack sub-contract work and finished goods to meet customer requirements, including labelling.
• Move parts to the next operation and unload materials from vehicles.
• Receive and store all materials in accordance with procedures.
• Issue materials promptly to production orders and the shop floor.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area while implementing improvements and lean activities.
• Ensure all paperwork for deliveries is scanned and stored for retrieval.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in computer literacy including emails, Excel, Word, and ERP systems.
• Possession of a full driving license is preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience in goods in and logistics within the aerospace industry.
• Forklift license preferred but not essential.
• Demonstrates self-starting capabilities.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing work requirements.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Committed to achieving success and being an excellent team player.
