Division info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

Debur and polish large Landing Gear parts with hand tools based off the required specifications and drawings.

Main responsibilities:

• Deburring parts to tolerances as required.
• Gauging and dimensionally measuring parts to ensure accuracy in deburring process.
• Using air tools such as grinders and polishers
• Understanding setup sheets, tool lists and Operational Detail Sheets.
• Preventative Maintenance.
• 5-S Activities including daily cleaning of work area.
• Pre-start up inspections which incorporate Health & Safety awareness.
• Work closely with other operators and members of other departments to produce a high quality part.
• Works in a positive and productive manner adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Min. high school completion.
• Deburring experience considered an asset
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in the English language
• Ability to interact with peers in a positive, professional and productive manner
• Ability to perform deburring functions to a high level of quality
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Ear protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes)
• Significant time standing/sitting deburring parts.
• Significant hand/arm movement using deburring tools
• Must comply with all HD confidentiality requirements and security regulations pursuant to ITAR/CGRP directives.

Starting hourly rate $23.33/hr
