The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

Heroux Devtek Runcorn provides repair and overhaul services to the commercial and military sector. In this role you will join a team of technicians engaged in the disassembly and survey of hydraulic aircraft products.

Main responsibilities:

• Conduct surveys and inspections on MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) activities.
• Undertake survey tasks for various hydraulic assemblies undergoing repair or overhaul.
• Utilize technical manuals, drawings, and specifications to perform thorough surveys.
• Apply precise attention to detail and utilize knowledge of tight tolerances during inspections.
• Maintain records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions taken.

Qualifications:

• Experience within an aerospace Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) business desirable.
• Ability to interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Engineering Repair Schemes & component/assembly drawings.
• Sound knowledge and experience of working to tight tolerances and in the use of precision measurement equipment.
• Experience of visual inspection/survey work or hydraulic build experience.
• Desirable to have experience of building, testing, and stripping both simple and complex hydraulic units, ideally with fault-finding skills.
• Experience of working to documentation within a regulatory controlled environment (AS9100 or AS9110).
• IT skills – Ability to use a software package is a requirement to record survey details.
• Application of 5S principles within their work area.
• Ability to work unsupervised, use own initiative and apply a high level of attention to detail.
