Division info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

Support and assist the mechanic operations of the 777/777X Landing Gear division - Final Assembly

Main responsibilities:

• Assembly of the 777/777X Main and Nose Landing Gear, final stages and delivery to Boeing
• Schedule flexibility and willingness to travel. Ability to be on call to support AOG and customer emergent scenarios (offshift/weekends)
• 6-S/Housekeeping responsibilities
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures, including Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements
• Other duties as assigned/required by schedule and workloads

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Positive working team environment with near perfect Quality and Delivery ratings to customer. Assembly shop with a small headcount building aviation components who works well together. Personal lockers, personal work cell, company provided tools (each mechanic has own set), each employee has their own parking spot, and comfortable quiet break area.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma/GED required.

EXPERIENCE:
1-3 year’s experience in aviation manufacturing environment or equivalent education. Previous experience in public company environment is preferred. This position requires good communication skills, as well as, the ability to effectively work with others as a team towards a common goal.

EQUIPTMENT SKILLS:
Familiar with torque wrench, nut runners, application of aerospace coatings, and various hand tools. Knowledge & past use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes as applicable. Must be able to pass forklift operator test and computer skills.
