The Aerostructure Market of Héroux-Devtek focuses on a complete line of precision machined structural components and assemblies, from simple aluminum parts to large monolithic five-axis complex components.

Summary of position:

Quality & CI Managers work with various departments in the company, from production to finances to human resources. They monitor changes in the external and internal aspects of the business and adjust plans accordingly. Additionally, Quality & CI Managers communicate their findings and plans with the company’s executives to ensure changes are implemented correctly.

Main responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the overall execution of the Magtron Quality Management System.
2. Ensure the QMS conforms to the Standard, and the processes are delivering their intended objectives
3. Evaluate products & processes for acceptance criteria, initiate Corrective Actions, where required to remove (or mitigate) root causes
4. Planning, managing and executing actions to ensure compliance with regulatory, quality management systems, customer and process approval.
5. Provide leadership to the Quality Control staff including mentoring, coaching, training, recruiting, performance management and employee development.
6. Define the key operational processes in order to control COPQ (Cost Of Poor Quality)
7. Develop the Control Plans that captures the strategies and corrective actions to the high-risk score operations
8. Develop the Metrics and SPC guidelines that sustains the changes
9. Lead the implementation process of LEAN across the site.
10. Meet all Safety and Environmental requirements
11. Control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress and drive continuous improvement which supports performance of the entire production team.


Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Engineering is preferred. In lieu of this, extensive training and experience in the industry is required.
3-5 years in a management role in the aerospace industry.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Must have the ability to direct and control assigned work force through the use of good communication.
Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to be a participant in a continuous improvement surrounding.
Understanding of BOM, Work Instructions, project management, leadership, and LEAN manufacturing highly desirable.
Able to conduct basic root cause analysis using structured problem-solving method.
• Working knowledge of basic facility infrastructure and mechanical equipment.
This job position requires compliance with ITAR and CGD regulations.
